Nasal CPAP
Simple, flexible and easy to use: BabyFlow™ nasal CPAP interfaces
Designed specificly for use with Babylog 8000, Evita and Babylog 2000 (only disposable BabyFlow™) ventilators, these extremely low-noise interfaces feature minimal dead space and enable the seamless transition from invasive ventilation to nasal CPAP and vice versa. The BabyFlow™ delivers flow-independent nasal CPAP all in one device: the need for a separate CPAP device is eliminated, reducing costs and complexity at bedside. Using the BabyFlow™ is simple and requires a minimum of training.

BabyFlow™ accessories: Masks, prongs, headbands and caps
Silicone nasal prongs are available in five different sizes (XS, S, M, L, XL), and NeoMasks come in two sizes (S,M). This ensures a comfortable, effective fit. A total of seven colour-coded reusable headbands with Velcro attachments provide enhanced sizing control and superior comfort. An included measuring tape facilitates sizing, avoiding waste and saving valuable time. A complete line of colour-coded caps is available, and new intermediate sizes ensure the best possible fit and provide easy access for ultrasound or i.v. cannulation procedures. Reusable headbands are made of microfibre and elastane. This makes them breathable, washable and resistant to the warmth and humidity of the incubator environment. Minimal seams ensure increased comfort. The caps are disposable and made of cotton and elastane.
Breathing systems
Especially designed for neonatal needs – breathing circuits
Dräger breathing circuits for neonatal ventilation were designed with the baby’s needs in mind. They keep dead space to a minimum and reduce the work of breathing. Fully tested for compatibility with a variety of Dräger devices, our breathing circuits are made using the high standards of quality you would expect in neonatal intensive care medicine.

Filters and HMEs – effective protection and conditioning
Dräger filters have proven retaining qualities and provide effective protection from contamination and infection. Our HMEs condition inspired air to suit the special needs of your small patients. Combinations of these highly compatible filters and HMEs are possible.
Neonatal monitoring
Infinity NeoMed cable – consolidated monitoring of vital functions and parameters
The Infinity NeoMed cable consolidates up to 7 leads into one compact package, effectively reducing the level of complexity and stress at bedside. It provides connections for 3 ECG leads, SpO2, 2 temperature probes (1 for Gamma/GammaXL) and FiO2 (not available for Gamma/GammaXL). The 3 lead ECG cable is automatically detected, saving valuable time. Respiration is detected using the impedance method.

Gentle and precise SpO2 sensors
Dräger neonatal transdermal pulse oxymetry sensors were designed for secure yet skin-friendly positioning. Both disposable and reusable sensors are available.

Disposable blood pressure cuffs – soft and accurate
Dräger disposable blood pressure cuffs come in a wide range of sizes – ready for all levels of maturity. Made from special soft materials, these cuffs provide gentle and accurate blood pressure measurement, even for the smallest, most fragile patients.

Temperature cables and probes
Dräger offers a selection of solutions for temperature measurement designed especially for neonatal applications.

Microstream® capnography – non-invasive, continuous CO2 monitoring
Requiring a flow rate of only 50 cc, the Microstream® capnography system places very little load on the infant’s tidal volume. The Microstream® neonatal airway adapter adds only 0.5 cc of dead space to the circuit and can be used with or without endotracheal intubation. This continuous, accurate CO2 measurement is reliable indication of correct intubation and adequate ventilation - the need for arterial blood gas analysis is significantly reduced. It also provides additional security and peace of mind during and after the weaning process.
Developmental Care Accessories
Positioning aids – support correct positioning
Positioning can have a significant effect on neonatal growth and development. The degree of physiological flexion increases with gestation. The inability of the premature infant to support their limbs, along with the effect of gravity, can result in a range of developmental problems. The infant should be nursed in a variety of positions to promote normal behavioural development and flexor tone. Positioning aids will help the premature and critically ill neonate to devote their energy to growing. The use of accessories such as the nest, small rolls and “Hug it” will provide a suitable limb and body support as in the uterus.

Incubator covers – effective protection from unwanted stimuli
Light and noise can have an adverse effect on the baby’s well-being, and therefore on development. Dräger incubator covers help shield the infant from unwanted light and noise, providing the kind of safe haven your small patients need to thrive without compromising on safety or access.
